"How Do I Join Your Service"?

For your convenience, there are Several Ways to Activate the "Join" Process:

  1. From any page of the site you can click on the word "Join", located just under "We're Not Just Another On-Line Dating Site" or,
  2. From the first five pages of the site's Tour area, you can click on the Forward Arrow Button labeled, "Register Me Now", located towards the bottom right-hand corner of these pages or,
  3. From last page of the site's Tour area, you can click on the words, "Register Today" or,
  4. From any page of the site, you can click on the link labeled "Join", which is located at the bottom portion of each page, between the links labeled "Search" and "FAQs".
  5. From the Home Page you can click on the words "Join Today!".

Note: The "Join" link is "non-active" when you are completing the Join/Registration process.

Joining Our Service, means becoming a Member. Membership is required to use the service if you would like to post information about yourself, that you'd like Users of the site to know about you such as:

The Type of Relationship You are Seeking, Your Hobbies, Interests, Your Ideal Date, Ideal Mate and other optional information. However there is a small portion of the Membership process that is required. These items are located on Page 1 of a 3 part system and are denoted by an (*). The entire process can be completed in a few easy steps, that amount to only a few moments of your time.

How do I Contact Member(s)?

To Contact a Member(s) you must be a Premium Member of our service. To learn more about how to become a Premium Member click HERE.

There are several ways to Contact a Member following your request to conduct a Search. To learn more about How to Conduct a Search click HERE.

  1. Is via the Member's Profile page, which is located just under area for the Member's photo, as well as below the area for the Member' Match Preferences. The option is labeled "Contact This Member Now".
  2. Is via the Search Results Page from the E-Mail icon, labeled "Contact This Member Now".

How Do I Search for Members?

Searching our Database of Members is a free service to all Members as well as Visitors of our site. We've made our Search feature unbelievably simple!

You can search using various criteria, such as: Location, Age, Height, Weight and Personal Habits.

To activate this feature simply click on Search from any page of the site. Additionally, from the Home Page you can click on the words, "Your Search Starts Here".

"How Do I Create an Ad-Profile"?

An Ad-Profile is automatically created when you complete the Join/Registration process. For more information on How to Join Our Service, click the word "Join".

"How Do I Edit My Ad-Profile"?

The Editing Process has been made unbelievably simple!

To activate the Editing Process you can click on:

  1. The "Membership Management" link from any page of the site or,
  2. A second link, conveniently positioned right next to the Membership Services link, both of which are located at the bottom of each page of the site.
Note: This feature however is only applicable if you're a Member of the site as a result of completing the Join/Registration process.

Step 1:
If you are a Member, and you have activated the "Membership Management" link you will be automatically taken to a page titled, "Manage & Edit My Membership".

Step 2:
Under the section labeled "Editing Registration Information", you have the ability to edit (5) segments of your membership/profile information, which are clearly marked as:

Edit Membership - Personal Information
Edit Membership - Personal Description Information
Edit Membership - Contact Information
Edit Membership - Department Information
Edit Membership - Password and/or Member Name/Alias

Each of these segments are links that conveniently/automatically take you to each of the respective portions of your registration information as indicated above.

Step 3:
In order to have your edits accepted/updated each time you wish to make them, you will need to click the Forward Arrow, labeled Submit My Changes.

Step 4:
"Membership Registration/Update Confirmation". This is your confirmation that your changes have been successfully entered/updated to our member database. This same page contains a button "Manage & Edit My Membership", which will automatically link you back to where you began the process described in Step 1 above. At this point you have the option to continue editing other portions of your membership/profile information as described in Step 2 above, if desired.

Note: The "Membership Management" link is "non-active" when you are using any selections within the "Manage & Edit My Membership" process.

How Do I Change My Password & Member Name/Alias?

Step 1:
If you are a Member, and you have activated the "Membership Management" link you will be automatically taken to a page labeled, "Manage & Edit My Membership".

Step 2:
Under the section labeled "Editing Registration Information", you have the ability to edit (4) segments of your membership/profile information, which are clearly marked as:

Edit Membership - Personal Information
Edit Membership - Personal Description Information
Edit Membership - Contact Information
Edit Membership - Department Information
Edit Membership - Password and/or Member Name/Alias


Each of these segments are links that conveniently/automatically take you to each of the respective portions of your registration information as indicated above.

Step 3:
In order to have your edits accepted/updated each time you wish to make them, you will need to click the Forward Arrow, labeled Submit My Changes.

Clicking the Forward Arrow will generate a confirmation page, which will allow you to return to the Manage & Edit My Membership page should you have any additional edits you might wish to make.

"How Do I Post a Photo to My Ad-Profile"?

The Photo Posting Process has been made unbelievably simple!

To activate the Photo Posting Process you can click on:

  1. The "Membership Management" link from any page of the site or,
  2. A second link, conveniently positioned right next to the Membership Services link, both of which are located at the bottom of each page of the site.
Note: This feature however is only applicable if you're a Member of the site as a result of completing the Join/Registration process.

Step 1:
If you are a Member, and you have activated the "Membership Management" link you will be automatically taken to a page titled, "Manage & Edit My Membership".

Step 2:
Under the section titled"Viewing Information & Posting Photos", click on the link:
"Post a Photo to Your Profile for the First Time or Change and Existing One"


Step 3:
By clicking this link you will be automatically taken to a page titled "Posting a Photo to Your Profile Instructions". Here you will find the necessary steps to complete the photo upload.

Step 4:
Once you select "Upload My Photo Now" from this same page, you will be automatically provided with a "Post a Photo to My Profile Confirmation" page, as evidence that your photo has been successfully uploaded to our member database.

Note: The "Membership Management" link is "non-active" when you are using any selections within the "Manage & Edit My Membership" process.

"How Do I View My Ad-Profile"?

The "Viewing" of Your Ad-Profile has been made unbelievably simple!

To activate the Viewing Process you can click on:

  1. The "Membership Management" link from any page of the site or,
  2. A second link, conveniently positioned right next to the Membership Services link, both of which are located at the bottom of each page of the site.

Note: This feature however is only applicable if you're a Member of the site as a result of completing the "Join"/Registration process.

Step 1:
If you are a Member, and you have activated the "Membership Management" link you will be automatically taken to a page labeled, "Manage & Edit My Membership".

Step 2:
Under the section labeled "Viewing Information & Posting Photos", click on the link:

"View Your Profile and/or the Edits You Just Made"

Step 3:
By clicking this link you will be automatically taken to a page labeled "Membership Profile". Here you will able to View Your Ad-Profile, which will be filled-in based on the information you selected during the Join/Registration process.

Step 4:
If for any reason you wish to make edits following your review of your Membership Profile, you can do so by following the procedures described in "How Do I Edit My Ad-Profile", above. To learn more click the word Edit.

Note: The "Membership Management" link is "non-active" when you are using any selections within the "Manage & Edit My Membership" process.

How do I Hide/Un-Hide My Ad-Profile?

This feature is available for Members who may wish to temporarily Hide their profiles because they're receiving more responses than they find manageable.

To use this feature simply Click on Membership Management from any page of the site. This will link you to the Manage & Edit My Membership page. There you will find the option:

Your Profile is Currently Viewable - Click HERE to Hide.

This selection is located under Viewing Information & Posting Photos.

Upon revisiting this feature should you elect to make the profile viewable again, you will find that the option will now be re-worded as:

Your Profile is Currently Hidden - Click HERE to Un-Hide

If selected, the same results will occur as described in Hide above.

"How Do I By-pass the Logon Screen Now That I'm a Member"?

From the Member Login screen there is a check-box conveniently located at the bottom of the Member Login window, which reads:

Of Like Heart & Mind uses a system of automatic member
recognition. By checking the box on the left, you will
activate this system, which will allow you to bypass the
login process the next time you visit the site.

Simply follow these specific instructions and you're on your way to the convenience of "automatic member recognition". It's that easy!

How Do I Upgrade My Membership and Why Would I Want To?

To Upgrade Your Membership you must be a Member of our service. Upgrading is necessary if you wish to Contact another Member via our blind e-mail system. All Memberships upon first joining our service are Basic, which does not allow the ability to contact Members, but allows all the privileges of free usage to all our unique and exciting features. If you wish to Upgrade to Premium Membership there are several ways to do so:

  1. If you are a Basic Member and you attempt to contact a Member, our system has been conveniently designed to detect that your Membership is Basic and will provide you with a page that will allow you to be linked to our Upgrade My Membership page.
  2. You may also access Upgrade My Membership via the Membership Management link, which is accessible from any page of the site.
  3. You may also access Upgrade My Membership via the Membership Services page, which also has a link to our Membership Management page.

Each of these areas will in-turn link you to our secure server payment window, where after making your Upgrade to Premium Membership you will remain connected to our site so that you can conveniently continue enjoying all the site has to offer.

How Do I Renew My Membership?

To Renew Your Membership you must be a Member of our service. Renewing your Membership can be accessed via the Membership Management link, which is accessible from any page of the site.

You can also access our Membership Management link from our Membership Services page.

Each of these selections will in-turn link you to our secure server payment window, where after making your Membership Renewal, you will remain connected to our site so that you can conveniently continue enjoying all the site has to offer.

How Do I Cancel My Membership?

Of Like Heart and Mind uses a system of automatic cancellation, which means unless you choose to renew your membership, your membership will automatically cancel when your membership expires. Expiration is based upon the term your selected. However, if you wish to cancel your membership prior to that time, no refunds will be made in keeping with the terms and conditions of our User Agreement.

To Cancel Your Membership you must be a Member of our service. Canceling Your Membership can be accessed via the Membership Management link, which is accessible from any page of the site.

You can also access our Membership Management link from our Membership Services page.

Your Membership is important to us and our Cancellation page has been designed to ask that you take a few moments to answer on an optional basis, questions on why you've elected to cancel. Canceling only applies to Premium Membership.

"What If I Forgot My Password"?

From the Member Login screen there is a link labeled "Click Here if You Forgot Your Password".

Clicking this link will prompt you to enter your E-Mail Address, which is also your User I.D. From there, an e-mail will automatically be sent to you with your password in it.

However, if you selected the Membership Recognition check box during your first login after registration, you should follow the procedures outlined in "Disable The Automatic Login" so that you can access the "Member Login" window and there you will find "Click Here if You Forgot Your Password".

We've designed our system to be incredibly convenient should your forget or lose your password. However, we do ask that you try to create passwords that are easy to remember. The entire process is just that simple!

What if I want to Disable the Automatic Login feature after I checked the box to turn it on?

From any page of the site simply click the Sign Out link conveniently located at the bottom of the page between the FAQs link and the Shopping & Other Links link. You will be automatically logged out and taken to the Home page of the web site.

The next time you visit the web site and select an area, such as Membership Management, that requires login, the Member Login screen will appear asking you for the E-Mail Address you registered with and your Password. It's just that simple!

What is Visual/Audio Connections?

Visual/Audio Connections is a feature available to Members as well as Visitors of our site, who may wish to connect with Others via the use of an on-line video camera. This service is available via an outside service provider and carries a fee.
